Learning to play the piano is easy when you are having fun.

Years ago people used only a metronome to help them with the rhythm. Nowadays you can use the digital piano keyboard to enrich the experience of sounds and rhythms. The beats of different music styles are incorporated with modern keyboards and the accompaniment of other instruments and sounds will have you feel as a musician in a group concert performance right with the first track that you learn.   

To be successful in progressing your skills, you will need to play every day. Many people believe that 1/2 hour is enough practicing time a day. But I would say, forget the timers and clocks, just sit and learn one song or a phrase till you perfect it. It may take 10 minutes, or 2 hours, but you will have the feeling of accomplishment. Without this feeling you will not enjoy the learning process.
